In 1789, our forefathers laid the foundation for a new nation based upon the unalienable rights of the individual over the rights of a sovereign king. Now, 231 years later, we have slipped into the bonds of slavery to a different kind of ruler, an economic ruler that steals and makes a profit off of the fruits of our labor.
